Your Whitelisted Wallet is your designated Bitcoin destination. Once your Canadian dollar deposit is received and processed, your Bitcoin is automatically purchased and sent directly to this wallet.

A Whitelisted Wallet is a Bitcoin wallet address that has been verified on your 1Bitcoin.ca account.
Instead of entering a new Bitcoin address every time you make a purchase, your active Whitelisted Wallet is used as the destination for your Bitcoin.
This means:
Your Bitcoin is automatically delivered to your active Whitelisted Wallet.
You don't need to enter a wallet address for every purchase.
You don't need to request a separate Bitcoin withdrawal after purchasing.
Your Bitcoin is not held on 1Bitcoin.ca after your purchase is completed.
🔐 Why Does 1Bitcoin.ca Use Whitelisting?
Whitelisting adds an additional layer of protection to your account.
It helps prevent someone from gaining access to your account, changing your Bitcoin destination, and immediately redirecting a purchase to another wallet.
For this reason, wallet changes require additional security verification and are subject to a waiting period.
🛡️ How Is My Wallet Verified?
When you add or change your Whitelisted Wallet, you'll need to complete the required security steps before the new wallet can be used.
These include:
Confirming the wallet change through your registered email.
Completing Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
Waiting through the 24-hour security period after changing your Whitelisted Wallet.- A countdown timer will indicate when the wallet will be activated.
Once the security waiting period has been completed, the new wallet becomes available for future Bitcoin purchases.The countdown timer provides a visual confirmation of the progress during this period.
📧 What If I Don't Receive My Wallet Confirmation Email?
If you do not receive the wallet confirmation email, follow these steps:
Resend the confirmation email from the app.
Check all your email folders, including Inbox, Spam, and Junk.
If the email is still not received, your email provider may be filtering or blocking the automated security email. Contact your email provider to ensure delivery.
After resolving any email filtering issues, try resending the confirmation email from the app again.
Support Limitations - For security reasons, 1Bitcoin.ca support cannot:
Manually resend the wallet confirmation email.
Activate or bypass the 24-hour security hold.
Reset or remove a pending wallet verification. The verification and activation process must complete automatically after you confirm via the email and the 24-hour hold expires.

Yes. You can change your Whitelisted Wallet when you need to use a different Bitcoin wallet.
Every time you change your Whitelisted Wallet:
Email confirmation is required.
2FA is required.
A new 24-hour security waiting period begins.
You cannot change your Whitelisted Wallet while a deposit or Bitcoin purchase is currently being processed.
After the waiting period is complete, future Bitcoin purchases will be delivered to your newly active Whitelisted Wallet.
💰 Can I Still Make Multiple Bitcoin Purchases?
Yes.
Your Whitelisted Wallet does not limit how much Bitcoin you can accumulate in your wallet. You can make multiple purchases, and your Bitcoin will continue to be delivered to your active Whitelisted Wallet.
Whitelisting controls the destination of your Bitcoin, not how much Bitcoin your wallet can receive.
🔑 Do I Still Control My Wallet?
Yes.
Whitelisting a wallet with 1Bitcoin.ca does not give us access to your wallet, private keys, recovery phrase, or Bitcoin.
You remain responsible for your personal wallet and its security.
1Bitcoin.ca will never ask you to provide your wallet's recovery phrase or private keys.
