How to Find Your Bitcoin Receiving Address

Learn how to locate your Bitcoin receiving address so you can add it as your Whitelisted Wallet on 1Bitcoin.ca.


Before purchasing Bitcoin on 1Bitcoin.ca, you'll need a Bitcoin wallet and a valid Bitcoin receiving address.

Your receiving address is the destination where your Bitcoin purchases will be delivered.


📱 Step 1: Open Your Bitcoin Wallet

Open your external Bitcoin wallet and tap:

  • Receive

  • or Receive Bitcoin

Most wallets will display a Bitcoin receiving address and a QR code.


📬 Step 2: Copy Your Bitcoin Address

Your wallet will generate:

  • a Bitcoin receiving address

  • and usually a QR code

You can copy the address directly to your clipboard.

This address is where your Bitcoin will be sent.


🔍 Step 3: Verify the Address Carefully

Before adding it to your 1Bitcoin.ca account:

  • Double-check the first few characters.

  • Double-check the last few characters.

  • Make sure you're using the correct wallet.

⚠️ Bitcoin transactions usually cannot be reversed once sent.

Log in to your 1Bitcoin.ca account and add your Bitcoin receiving address as your Whitelisted Wallet.

You'll receive a confirmation email to verify the address before it becomes active.

  • Only use a wallet that you own and control.

  • Double-check your address before confirming it.

  • Bitcoin sent to an incorrect address cannot be recovered.

  • Some wallets generate a new receiving address after each use for privacy. This is normal, and previously generated addresses generally remain associated with your wallet.
