What Happens If an e-Transfer Is Reversed or Cancelled?

If an Interac e-Transfer is reversed, cancelled, or fails before processing is completed, the Bitcoin purchase may also be cancelled or delayed.

An e-Transfer may be cancelled or reversed if:

  • the sender cancels the transfer

  • the bank blocks the payment

  • the transfer expires

  • insufficient funds are detected

  • the bank flags the transaction for review
