In order to sell BTC on 1Bitcoin, you first need to have Bitcoin already on your account to sell. If you are looking to load your account with Bitcoin, visit this article for instructions. If you have Bitcoin in your account already, the following steps will show you the process of selling Bitcoin.
Step One:
Navigate to your 1Bitcoin Dashboard and select the "Sell" button, highlighted below.
Step Two:
A popup will appear giving you all the information necessary to sell your Bitcoin.
This is the amount of Bitcoin you are looking to sell, you can type your desired amount here.
This is your current available BTC balance on your account.
This is the amount of CAD you will receive from the sale of your Bitcoin. You can alternatively type in the amount you are looking to receive here.
This is your current available CAD balance on your account.
This button will automatically set your purchase amount to use the entirety of your available BTC balance.
Here you can see the rate at which you will be purchasing your Bitcoin. This rate is only valid for 60 seconds before it expires and you will need to purchase at a new rate.
Step Three:
After clicking continue, you will see a summary of your trade. Be mindful of the countdown timer, as your trade offer is only valid for one minute.
This is a summary of the amount of Bitcoin you will be selling, and the amount of Canadian Dollars you will be receiving.
This is the rate that you are selling your Bitcoin at.
This is the trade expiration timer, letting you know how much time you have left to execute this trade.
