Troubleshooting Your e-Transfer to 1Bitcoin.ca

If your e-Transfer has not been deposited into your 1Bitcoin.ca account, there could be several reasons. Follow these steps to ensure your transfer is successfully received and credited.

1. Is Your e-Transfer on Hold by Your Bank?

In some cases, banks may hold e-Transfers for review, even though the funds appear to have been sent and deducted from your account. Rest assured, your money is safe.

To verify if your e-Transfer is on hold:

  • Wait at least 30 minutes after sending.

  • Check the status on your online banking platform. If it does not say "Autodeposited" or "Received", or if you haven’t received an Interac confirmation email, the transfer may be on hold.

2. Common Reasons for e-Transfer Holds

  • Your bank has restrictions related to Bitcoin transactions.

  • This is your first time sending a transfer to 1Bitcoin.ca.

  • The transfer amount is unusual for your typical transactions.

3. Incorrect Transfer Details

Providing incorrect information—such as the wrong UserID or email address—can prevent your e-Transfer from being processed. Please ensure all details are entered correctly to avoid delays.

4. How to Release a Held e-Transfer

If your transfer is on hold:

  1. Contact your bank's support team and authorize the transfer to 1Bitcoin.ca.

  2. If your bank claims that the issue is with our bank, please note this is incorrect.

    • We use AutoDeposit, and we cannot manually release or process transfers.

This issue can typically be resolved with a quick call to your bank’s phone support—no branch visit required.
