When you withdraw Canadian dollars (CAD) from your 1Bitcoin.ca account, your funds are sent by Interac e-Transfer to the verified email address on your account.
This guide explains what happens after you request a withdrawal, why your withdrawal may temporarily show as pending, and how to deposit the Interac e-Transfer into your bank account.
1. Request your CAD withdrawal
After submitting a CAD withdrawal, you can monitor its status from your account History.
A new withdrawal may initially appear as Pending. This means the withdrawal request has been received and is still being processed.
Why is my CAD withdrawal still pending?
A pending status does not mean the Interac e-Transfer has already been sent. It means the withdrawal is still being processed.
Once processing is complete, the CAD will be sent to the verified email address associated with your 1Bitcoin.ca account through Interac e-Transfer.
2. Watch for your Interac e-Transfer
Once your withdrawal has been processed, what happens next depends on whether you have Interac Auto Deposit enabled.
If you have Auto Deposit enabled: The funds should automatically be deposited into the bank account associated with Auto Deposit for your verified email address.
If you do not have Auto Deposit enabled: You will receive an Interac e-Transfer email. Open the email and follow the Interac instructions to select your financial institution and deposit the funds into your bank account.
3. Enter your unique ID as the password
If your Interac e-Transfer requires a password/security answer, use your 1Bitcoin.ca unique ID.
Your unique ID can be found directly on your 1Bitcoin.ca dashboard.
4. Where to find your unique ID
Log in to your 1Bitcoin.ca account and open your Dashboard.
In the bottom-left corner of the dashboard, locate the account information beneath your email address. Your unique ID is displayed beside Account ID.
Use this ID when the Interac e-Transfer asks for the password/security answer.
