Before beginning setup, make sure you have:

π Step 1: Set Up Your Device
Turn on the Ledger device and follow the on-screen setup instructions.

π± Step 2: Write Down Your Seed Phrase
Your Ledger device will display a recovery phrase during setup.
This recovery phrase is the backup to your wallet.

Never:
save the phrase digitally
store it in cloud storage
take screenshots
share it with anyone
Anyone with access to your recovery phrase can access your Bitcoin.

install the Bitcoin app
create a Bitcoin account
Ledger Live helps manage balances, transactions, and wallet connections while the Ledger device securely stores your private keys offline.

Generate a Bitcoin receiving address and carefully confirm it matches the address shown directly on the Ledger device screen before using it.
Verifying addresses directly on the hardware wallet helps reduce phishing and malware risks.
